There are 40 elective subjects (Elective Subjects List) for students to choose from in order to complete certificate requirements.
Senior students may choose elective subjects for their course of study. Students work toward the ACE year 12 certificate. This requires 2 years of study however this may vary according to the student's ability.
This educational program provides an excellent basic education for the child. It emphasises the student as an individual in the areas of academics, character development, and spiritual development.
The program trains the student in goal setting, individualised learning, self assessment, and in taking tests. The program encourages the student to develop independent study skills. Independent study skills are essential for a student to succeed at college and university studies. It enables the parent to be fully aware of what the child is learning and how he/she is progressing.
Australian Christian College - International recommends that parents encourage the student to select subjects which provide the best outcome for the student's career path after school. Australian Christian College - International staff are available to assist parents and students in course selection with a view to employment and tertiary education. Parents and students should make decisions about subject choices for 11 and 12, during year 10.
