Graduation
One of the big questions distance education parents ask is "Can my child enter University or TAFE College courses after they've completed year 12 by distance education?"
Our experience has been that distance educated graduates do gain entry into University and TAFE colleges around Australia.
Our graduates currently gain entrance into University courses and TAFE colleges by means of:
- ACE Year 12 certificate
- SAT Reasoning Test or
- STAT (Special Tertiary Admissions Test)
A recent study of 438 graduates of ACA (Harding, 2006) indicated the following post home education study pathways for our graduated students:
- 36% of home educated graduates gained admission to Bachelor Degree courses in Universities around Australia.
- 21% of home educated graduates gained admission to Diploma Level courses in Universities, Colleges and TAFE Colleges around Australia.
- 43% of home educated graduates gained admission to Traineeships, Apprenticeships and Certificate courses.

Students who want to enter tertiary education should plan their year 11 and 12 courses of study very carefully. Please ensure you contact Australian Christian College - International staff during your year 10 course of study in order to plan your senior course and possible tertiary entrance.
